OUR CORE VALUES

Courageous Compassion

Everyone needs a friend regardless of circumstances. It takes courage to help those unfortunate people with love by accepting them and providing help and needs.

Colossians 3:12 - Put on then, as God's chosen ones, holy and beloved, compassionate hearts, kindness, humility, meekness, and patience,

1 John 3:17 - But if anyone has the world's goods and sees his brother in need, yet closes his heart against him, how does God's love abide in him?

Real Sense of Belonging

Everyone wants to be a part of a group and no one including deaf should be left out. We believe we are called to be a people and a place where all belong. When a person believes by faith in Christ’s substitute death for him, he belongs to God and his family.

Romans 12:5 - so we, though many, are one body in Christ, and individually members one of another.

True Identity in Christ

“Who am I?” When you identify with Christ, you are fully accepted, significant, and secure. After identifying with Christ, you can know who you are because of Christ who made you in His image.

Galatians 3:27-28 - For as many of you as were baptized into Christ have put on Christ. There is neither Jew nor Greek, there is neither slave nor free, there is no male and female, for you are all one in Christ Jesus.

Fruitful Transformation

Jesus saves and transforms us. As He transforms us, we should display the fruit of the Spirit such as love, kindness, and self-control. Every Christian is called to be an ambassador representing Jesus. The people would recognize you as different from them and want what you have, Jesus in you.

Galatians 5:22-23 - But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, forbearance, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness and self-control. Against such things there is no law.

Romans 12:1-2 - I appeal to you therefore, brothers, by the mercies of God, to present your bodies as a living sacrifice, holy and acceptable to God, which is your spiritual worship. Do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewal of your mind, that by testing you may discern what is the will of God, what is good and acceptable and perfect.

Willing Generosity

Jesus Christ had given Himself for us.  Therefore, we should be willing to live for Him and serve others.  Christians gave themselves to Jesus first so that they can give themselves to others such as time, money, and possessions.

2 Corinthians 8:5 - and this, not as we expected, but they gave themselves first to the Lord and then by the will of God to us.

Galatians 6:10 - So then, as we have opportunity, let us do good to everyone, and especially to those who are of the household of faith.

1 John 3:16 - By this we know love, that he laid down his life for us, and we ought to lay down our lives for the brothers.

2 Corinthians 5:15 - he died for all, that those who live might no longer live for themselves but for him who for their sake died and was raised.

Mobile Multiplication

Starting in Wausau we make disciples. Many Deaf people live in rural regions and some big cities that have no Deaf ministry or church. We need to go to them beyond Wausau sharing God’s Word into places beyond Wausau, seeing more disciples, deaf ministries, and churches planted. We desire that God raises up deaf ministry leaders to lead in designated areas.

Acts 1:8 - But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you, and you will be my witnesses in Jerusalem and in all Judea and Samaria, and to the end of the earth.

Luke 10:2 - And he said to them, “The harvest is plentiful, but the laborers are few. Therefore pray earnestly to the Lord of the harvest to send out laborers into his harvest.
